My 3.5 year old loves helping in the kitchen which I LOVE! We try to nurture that as much as possible.
So yesterday when he inevitably asked to make cake (he asks to bake cakes with me multiple times a week 😅), I decided to make it into an educational experience and taught him about color theory the best way a baker could possibly teach their child 😂

We whipped up some yellow, red, and blue cake batter (which he can now tell you are the primary colors), and then experimented with what happens when you mix the different primary colors together. He was so excited and proud of himself when we were done and he saw that we made all the colors of the rainbow! 🌈 I had a lot of bowls to wash but it was totally worth it 💕

My son was helping me bake orders this morning. He kept asking if he could eat the cake, and I had to explain to him that he can’t always eat the cakes that I bake because customers give Mama money for cakes and they’d be sad if he ate their cake. His response?

“Can I just eat the customer?” 😳😂

If you know Jax…you know 😂 this kid is such a trip. To be fair, he changed his perspective after I explained that a customer is a person…
