Five years!! We are happy to celebrate Hannah Wiegand’s (aka Sprite) (aka Port Hurons best barista) five year anniversary at the coffee shop!
Five years ago Maggie was getting ready to stay home with our upcoming baby, Willow Grace… so we were anxiously searching for our first full time employee.
Enter Hannah. Maggie had been serving Hannah and their parents since before we owned the coffee house and their family had always supported us before we even had an inkling that we would one day own the shop. Hannah’s Mom gifted us a Spanish to English children’s Bible before we left to volunteer in Mexico for 6 months. And wonderful Kaitlynn created some amazing baked goods at the shop when we were lucky enough to have her work with us. Basically their family has always kinda been there for us cheering us on so it was pretty easy to add Hannah on to work with us! They were a perfect fit right away and are not only loved by us but by our kiddos as well who always run up and yell “Hannah!” When they see them. They have a true kindness towards our family and our wonderful customers, we are lucky to have them be part of the co**se family.
If you’ve been in the shop over the past five years, you’ve definitely had the pleasure of being served by Hannah. The passion they have for coffee is infectious and the drinks they craft are second to none. They have such a positive impact on the coffee shop and on Port Huron as a whole. They are a top notch barista, a beautifully talented singer and a truly wonderful human.
If you are around today, stop in the shop and say hi to and congratulations to Port Huron’s favorite barista!
