A New Chapter Begins

Neil’s Winehouse is becoming Neil’s Winehouse & Supper Club.

Casey and Stephanie, owners of 1873 Bar & Grill, are honored to continue the tradition of Neil’s while creating an exciting new dining experience for Portage.

We’re keeping the wine you love and expanding the menu with the timeless flavors and hospitality of a classic Wisconsin supper club.

Now Hiring: Food Trailer Driver

1873 Bar & Grill – Portage, WI

1873 Bar & Grill is seeking a dependable, safety-focused team member to transport our 20-foot custom-built food trailer using our company-owned 2024 Ford F-350. When fully loaded, the trailer weighs approximately 8,000 pounds, so prior towing experience is required.

This position includes general operational support while the trailer is on site.

Pay & Schedule

* $15-20 per hour
* Part-time
* 3–5 days per week
* Approximately 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
* Must be available at a minimum on Mondays and Wednesdays.
* Additional hours may be available for special events and catering opportunities.

Retired drivers are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

* Safely operate our company-owned 2024 Ford F-350 while towing our 20-foot custom-built food trailer (approximately 8,000 lbs fully loaded).
* Transport the trailer from storage to daily operating locations and special events.
* Return the trailer to storage at the end of each day.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
* Confidently back the trailer into tight parking areas, event sites, and other confined spaces.
* Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
* Work as a team member to help ensure successful daily operations.

Required Qualifications

* Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
* Demonstrated experience towing trailers weighing up to 8,000 pounds.
* Experience backing trailers into tight spaces is required.
* Experience driving full-size pickup trucks while towing.
* Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
* Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
* Willing to learn food preparation and kitchen operations.
* Flexible to assist with occasional evenings or weekends for special events.

Insurance & Driver Requirements

* Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
* Must provide proof of current personal automobile insurance.
* Must meet our commercial insurance carrier’s driver eligibility requirements.
* Must consent to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review before employment and periodically thereafter.
* Serious driving violations, DUIs, license suspensions, reckless driving convictions, or an unacceptable driving record may disqualify applicants.
