That's right! The signal is green and Lost Car Series 6 is here with a sweet surprise! For those of you just hopping on board, Lost Car Series is our mystery small batch/single origin roast we know nothing about and roast it our way. We will have bags of our Lost Car Series 6 available Saturday June 21st at Chesterton's European Market from 8-2. Our friends at Tethan's Candy & Confections made a dark chocolate bar with Lost Car Series 6 that will be available starting Saturday at 8 am. The quantities are limited so get there early! See you Saturday!

This week’s limited edition chocolate bar is a collaboration with our favorite local coffee roaster, Trackside Coffee, using our dark chocolate and their brand new Lost Car #6 coffee.

The Lost Car series features beans of unknown origin, just like a lost car on the railroad, and it’s a true test of Trackside’s roasting skills. There’s a depth of flavor with these beans that is unlike any of our other collabs — don’t miss trying a sample and grabbing this bar starting Saturday at 8 am. You can also grab a bag of Lost Car #6 to brew at home from Trackside’s booth at the European Market this Saturday!

🔔 Hey friends! If you’re anywhere near Wheeler/Valparaiso on June 5th, something worth seeing is rolling through.

🚂 The Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 is passing through the area that day. This is the largest operating steam locomotive in the world — a 1.2 million pound machine built in the 1940s that was retired in 1961. It was brought back from retirement in 2019 and is now running under its own power in 2026 for America’s birthday. There’s nothing else like it.

It will be traversing the Norfolk Southern Chicago District. This line runs along route 130 in Valparaiso, Wheeler and beyond. It’s estimated to run through that area between 10-11:30 am. It’s a pass-through stop, so get there early, find a good spot, and stay at a safe distance from the tracks.

We will be at Chesterton's European Market tomorrow 5/16 from 8-2 pm. We’ll have lots of fresh roasted coffee beans for sale and also cups of coffee too! If you feel like leveling up your coffee routine in the morning, come talk to us about how to do a pour over! We can walk you through the process and also sell the supplies needed to do so. Mother’s Day weekend is here! What’s a more perfect gift for mom than coffee? We will be at Chesterton's European Market tomorrow 5/9 from 8-2 pm. Our hot coffee lineup for the market:

💐Organic Honey Processed Sumatra - everything you would expect from a Sumatra but with a mildly sweet aftertaste from the honey process.

💐Peru - this one has tasting notes of cocoa and graham cracker with a smooth body. One of our personal favorites!

💐Harrar - from Ethiopia, it has a medium to full body with that signature hint of blueberry!

💐Kenya - notes of chocolate, brown spice and a citrus body.

Of course we will have the full line up of whole beans for sale as well as our custom coffee mugs made by Coffee Creek Ceramics and brewing equipment!

🌷The weather looks gorgeous! Come sip, shop and treat yourself (and mom) to something special!

✨Tomorrows hot coffee line up at Chesterton's European Market:

✨We will have our signature Colombian coffee (from an all women owned farm). Tasting notes are smooth body, with a little sweet and cocoa.

✨Ethiopian Harrar will also be available - notes of blueberry are really present.

✨We’ll have our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe which is a bright delicious coffee with notes of stone fruit and an aroma of tea.

✨Finally, we’ll have our organic honey-processed Sumatra. This one is truly delicious. It has the notes of a typical Sumatra with a sweet finish. Try a sample or buy a full cup!
