We are unequivocally against all forms of human suffering and especially so when it’s at the hands of corrupt government agencies like ICE. ••• We support our community’s efforts to protest tyranny in all its forms. ••• Our decision to stay open is made out of pragmatism — our staff and our family depends on the patronage of this community for their livelihoods and closing would be antithetical to that. ••• We will be donating 10% of our sales tomorrow to our neighbors as they’ve been instrumental on the legal front, assisting people for free that need it most. ••• If you’ve decided to hold your spending power in support of the movement, we’re with you and we hope to see you later this weekend. If you you’re holding space for small businesses within your protest, we thank you and we’ll be here for you. ••• Whatever you choose this Friday and moving forward, know that our goal as a small business in Portland remains — to support the exquisite creatures that make up our community as best we can.
