It’s the values we have and the values we all share as a team that is transferred through to our guest. It’s about giving back to our community. Food and drink are a craft here, something we take very seriously and we take pride in. To us it’s more than sitting down to eat dinner. You get more than food and a couple drinks…you get an experience. To us…it’s about giving each guest an amazing experience.

Sur Lie is 12! 12 years ago, we opened Sur Lie hoping to be a great place to share tapas and drinks! I also wanted to create a platform for chef's to come and explore their creativity.

I think we have achieved all of the above! We've changed over the years (which I am proud of) and we've created opportunities for some of Portland's best chefs to come in and highlight their creativity. Super proud of the community we have built. Also proud to see the evolution of the restaurant industry in Portland, Maine.

Great cocktails start with talented people who know how to make a room feel welcoming. Meet the face behind our bar—and ask Bianca about her current favorite pour.
