How the seed was planted

My name is Correna, I have been obsessed with creating my own food for as long as I can remember. I have always had a passion for food and having fun trying new flavors and creative ideas, It seemed as if every night I was having my family try out some new concoction I had come up with. When we made the decision to go vegan four years ago we quickly realized two things, 1. There were not many vegan restaurants we could eat at (unless we went out to the city) and 2. We were so new to this lifestyle, we didn’t really know what to eat. That’s when I decided to set out and create my own vegan versions of all the food we used to eat before because I didn’t want to just eat healthy food all the time, I needed that junk food craving. What started out as meals for my family and I, turned into friends and coworkers not being able to tell that my food wasn’t meat and being surprised that it was all vegan. From that moment I knew that I was meant to open my own restaurant. My main goals, and the reason for this meal prep and pop-up vendor, was to make it easier for people transitioning to veganism, those who don’t have time/ know how to make the food the same way but without animal products, and of course all of my fellow junk food vegans.
