EIGHT YEARS?! ☕️💣

Somehow Slowbomb Coffee is celebrating 8 years in business today, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful.

Running a small business is wild, exhausting, rewarding, stressful, beautiful… and none of it would be possible without the people who continue to show up for us every single day.

Thank you for supporting local. Thank you for supporting woman-owned businesses. Thank you for making Slowbomb part of your routines, meetings, study sessions, coffee dates, and lives.

We appreciate every order, every share, every recommendation, and every person who has helped us grow over the last 8 years.

🚨📣 I’m so excited to share that TWO food cart trailers can join us on the property with Slowbomb Coffee! It’s been years in the making but I was FINALLY issued the permit!💣

There’s still A LOT of work ahead of us with construction and all the behind the scenes details (like the city of Portland forcing us to plant 16 trees, 86 shrubs, and 2 storm water planters…🙄) before we can officially open things up and start taking applications, but this is a huge step forward.

Spread the word and keep an ear out for your favorite carts needing a new home base later this year. I’ll be sharing more updates over the next few months as everything starts coming together.

To field some preliminary questions- there will be water & sewer with exterior grease trap connections/garbage/recycle/restroom/50amp electric/outdoor seating/parking all on site. We are expanding the width of the driveway, doing a bunch of asphalt upgrading for parking, and building a garbage enclosure.🙏

It takes a village to build something special. ☕🎨
My team spent their entire weekend painting, climbing ladders, balancing on step stools, and turning a blank space into something vibrant and beautiful. The amount of progress we made in just two days was incredible. All that’s left is just some touch ups and a couple missing pieces on the doors. I seriously have the coolest team around. 💜🧡💛💙🩷

Thanks for driving through 2 ‘DO NOT ENTER/WRONG WAY’ signs, and snapping our rope. Proceeding to drive off without getting out and looking was icing on the cake for me.

🚽🧼🚻🧻Our restroom is for PAYING customers only & let me tell you why:

We’re really excited to finally have a bathroom space we can offer to our customers. This project has been a long road for us. It’s taken years, a lot of hard work, and a major personal financial investment to make it happen (over $340,000 and counting of property/land improvements so far! 😳).

Everything about this restroom - the build, the upkeep, the professional cleanings, and the utilities is fully funded by me, without any government assistance or subsidies. Just me (& a ton of loans I owe interest on monthly!)

Because of that, this bathroom is designed specifically for our PAYING customers who are here to enjoy our space, not for quick public stop-ins. (Even more so now that there is a charging station next door!)

Our goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment where customers can relax, spend time, and feel taken care of. Access to a restroom is part of that experience.

We really appreciate your understanding and your support of a small, locally owned business. It truly means everything to us.

The restroom we have available for paying customers is a fully ADA approved build and also includes a changing table for children. Inside, there is a community bulletin board. Feel free to hang a business card or flyer for local events. 🫶
