It’s a week of staff celebrations for us! We love these humans and are so proud to know and work with them 🤍

Today (10/15) is Gillian’s 4 year anniversary which means she’s been with for around half of the life of the shop! She cares deeply for our coffees and people and we’ve loved growing with her over the years. She’s a talented illustrator () and keeps us smiling with her to go cup doodles and her legendary hot chocolate game.

Friday (10/17) is Colton’s 1 year anniversary! A year with him has been full of pour overs, Hawaiian shirts, and some legendary selfies on the iPad. He’s been a natural fit for us and we’re stoked to have him on the team.

Friday (10/17) is also Alecia’s last day with us after almost 2 years. She’s been our plant parent, emo expert, and (tasteful of course) prankster. This is also her exit from coffee as she’s beginning her journey working in the medical field. We’re excited to cheer her on from the other side of the bar!

Abel Salinas is a first-generation coffee farmer in Saraguro, Loja, Ecuador. He primarily grows typica mejorado as well as sidra and F1 hybrid varietals. This lot is a clean and smooth natural, with rich strawberry sweetness. Thanks to for this coffee and info on Abel!

VIETNAM 96B PHAN EM ROBUSTA NATURAL //

This is our first robusta and we’re stoked to share it with you! Some info on robusta: it is one of two coffee species; the other one being arabica, which is the majority of coffee represented in the specialty industry here in the west. Robusta is higher in caffeine than arabica and is typically marked by low acidity and an earthy taste. The natural processing on this lot defies the expected notes of a robusta and gives us a cup bursting with fruit and the sweetness of pomegranate.

COSTA RICA LA LAGUNA ANAEROBIC //

La Laguna is back! We’ve worked with this coffee from William Mora’s farm for several harvests and each year we love tasting the new expression of this lot. The precise fermentation and drying results in a deep sweetness with bright bursts of lime acidity. Thanks to for this coffee and info on its production!

COLOMBIA FINCA LA CRISTALINA MOSSTO NATURAL //

All processes at Finca Cristalina take advantage of the microorganisms present in the soil. Owner Luis Jose believes responsible agronomic management is a key differential in high quality coffee production.

The mossto used in this processing method was reincorporated from precious fermentations. We can taste the precision of this fermentation in each cup. We’re tasting bold sweetness of watermelon, fruit punch, and cotton candy. Thanks to .col for this coffee and info on its production!
