Some of her passions are centered around food and community, so we are sure she's going to fit right in! She's also a fan of crafts and crosswords and her favorite food is cookies. This isn’t an easy post nor one we really wanted to make, but for the sake of being transparent (and for the sake of our remaining composure) we’re formally announcing our closing.
Bear with us—it’s going to be a wordy one 😬
These last few years have been amazing, exhausting, fun, fulfilling, enlightening—just all around pretty awesome. From the onset, we had dreams of expanding to open our own restaurant. Keeping our operation at the Getty location was our plan and our dream and as we had shared with a few of you, it was in the works.
What we hadn’t dreamed and definitely not planned on was a world wide pandemic causing economic crisis, homeschooling and far reaching uncertainty.
We have decided that even with our unending optimism, we can not risk* (no one word was the right word here) moving forward.
The property needs a lot of love that we can not provide right now. The location is a dream and with the right heart pumping the necessary funds, it will be a truly wonderful oasis.
We’ve said this too many times, but it’s still just as true—WE CAN’T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH. We honestly have grown to think of many of you as great friends/family (even if we forget each others names on occasion 🤦🏼‍♀️). We’ve watched relationships grow into marriages, new babies become customers, birthdays, reunions and even two strangers share a pickle dog!!! It’s been an adventure like no other and it’s taken a month to get to this post for a reason—
there aren’t the right words to express both our happiness and sadness all in one. We hope this isn’t the end but the future has this annoying way of always being a mystery.
We love you all (ya we mean it) and we’ll keep you posted of any important news.
We hope everyone is staying healthy and happy and that you all have the merriest holiday season!! (Minus this post of course, sorry for that )
And if you happen to be in the market for a major gas station fixer upper, and happen to dream to fixer-upper it into a restaurant...and happen to need two people the run it...
