Update from The Valley Inn:

Our sign unfortunately didn’t survive its encounter with a snow plow during the blizzard… and a few weeks later, it’s still down for the count 😅

On the bright side, we are still OPEN!

So if you drive by and think we vanished, we promise we’re still here — same great food, same cozy fireplace, same Valley Inn family ❤️

The snow has cleared, the doors are open, and the kitchen is firing on all cylinders.

❄️ Snow Day Update from The Valley Inn ❄️

While we were hoping to be back open today, our parking lot has not yet been cleared from the storm. For the safety of our guests and staff, we’ll be remaining closed until it’s properly plowed and safe for everyone to come and go comfortably.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding — trust us, we’d much rather be inside by the bar with all of you.

We’ll share an update as soon as we’re ready to reopen. Thank you for always supporting your Valley Inn family. ❤️

❄️ Snow Day at The Valley Inn ❄️

Although the storm has passed, road conditions and cleanup efforts are still ongoing. For the safety of our guests and staff, The Valley Inn will remain closed today(Tuesday, February 24).

We know everyone is digging out and getting back to normal — please continue to take your time, be careful on the roads, and stay safe. ❤️

We’re looking forward to getting the fireplace going again and welcoming you back very soon.

Being named Best Restaurant in Portsmouth, RI is an incredible honor — and seeing Chef Mario Occhi recognized as Best Chef in Newport County makes it even more meaningful.

The Valley Inn has been proudly serving this community since 1957, and for nearly seven decades it’s been about more than just food. It’s about family, hard work, familiar faces, and creating a place where everyone feels at home.

This recognition belongs to our amazing staff and our loyal guests who have supported us through the generations. Thank you for choosing our table, year after year. We are truly grateful to be part of this community. ❤️🍷
