For a few years now, we’ve had the pleasure of donating coffee for the Man against Horse race in Prescott. This was the first year we were able to attend ourselves, and we had such a blast!

In 1983, the iconic man against horse race began with a bar bet on Wh***ey Row in Prescott, Arizona, between Gheral Brownlow and Cowboy Steve Rafters. Gheral challenged Steve, wagering that he could outrun his horse in this unforgettable man vs horse Prescott showdown. Since then the tradition has continued for runners and horses alike, and the proceeds contribute directly to horse rescue Bethany’s Gait, and the Yavapai County Food Bank. It’s been a pleasure for us to be able to contribute, and we’re already looking forward to next year! 🐴☕️
