A note regarding recent events. Please take a moment to read.
We feel it is our duty to provide a timeline of the events that have transpired over the previous 72 hours. To be fully transparent, they have been some of the most difficult times this business, our family, and our employees have faced in the entire 18 years of being open.
Tuesday night: Two disgruntled former employees make a post on Facebook full of lies and accusations against our business and our owner.
Wednesday: These accusations reach the owners and employees. Around 2:00 the health department shows up, and we pass inspection. We open for dinner, business as usual serving parties and customers.
Thursday: We planned to open for dinner but we were short staffed and had to close for the evening.
Friday: The fire department, building department, and additional town employees visit the restaurant. This time, they find a damaged pipe in the crawl space below the restaurant which is leaking directly into the ground.
They turned off our water and we are told we are to remained closed until it is fixed and the repair is verified. Unfortunately, due to the scheduling of the town and our plumber this won’t be achieved until late Saturday, early Sunday.
We will need to remain closed until it is resolved. We will provide an update on when we can reopen. We are completely aware of how this appears based on the accusations, but there is nothing we can do about that.
We know the work we must do to earn your trust and confidence back. We strongly encourage and invite anyone with hesitation to come and see our kitchen for themselves. We are planning to hold a “Customer Appreciation” event and hope to see you all there.
Thank you,
JJ, family, and employees
