Some traditions just aren’t worth stopping. Louis will be open Thanksgiving morning at 8am for a few hours and Uncle Paul will be slinging drinks. Stop by and check out what has been done thus far for interior renovations and grab a drink!!!

Restaurant Update!!!
With every few steps forward there is always a step backwards. The restaurant has come a great way over the last month, a place that Houghs Neck will truly be happy to have as their home town restaurant. All insurance issues have been addressed, a front of the house renovation and updates are on the final touch’s and we planned to be open for the community soon but there has been a set back. As many know the parking lots has been a hot topic, some in favor and some not but at the end of the day it was clear that having a restaurant out weighs most issues, especially ones that we have worked to address to continue to keep the community happy. Unfortunately 2 neighbors don’t believe a restaurant should exist in Houghs Neck with out it’s own parking lot and have appealed the city’s decision on subdivision in land court. This puts everything that has gone into it over the last couple of month at risk and will continue to hold the restaurant from opening. We are sorry to the people who can’t wait for the doors to open and we will keep everyone posted.

Even though the doors are closed for now it’s articles like this that let us know what we did was good and that Louis is missed!!

Quick Louis Update;
For now we continue to remain closed unfortunately. All of the work that needs to be done was finalized with our adjuster, handed over to the carrier and now we are waiting for final approval to begin work. We just hit the 2 month mark and didn’t expect things to take this long. Everyone remain calm and we appreciate your patience!

Update on Louis Restaurant:
As most of you know we are closed due to damage from the storm at the beginning of March. Damage that keeps us from heating or cooling the building, keeping food stored properly and keeping our kitchen safe to work in. We have done all we can on our end to work with insurance to keep things moving forward. At this point we are in line waiting for the ok to move forward on repairs.
Yes Louis Restaurant will be reopening!

Louis Restaurant will be closed until further notice. Due to damage from the storm and the back up from insurance companies we are experiencing slow response time to get assistance for what needs to be done.
We hope to be back up and running as quickly as possible to open our door and continue to contribute to the community around us. We will see you soon!

Sad to post this but for today Louis will remain closed. We took a major hit on some of our utilities and are working to fix the problem.
