detailed information and our cake gallery. We are located in the beautiful Sierra mountains in Northern California in the town of Quincy. We are a couple hours north of Lake Tahoe and West of Reno Nevada. The area we service takes in venues located in Plumas County. With event locations in the Lake Almanor, Portola, Loyalton, Graeagle, Bucks Lake, Cromburg, and of course Quincy. When ordering, advance notice is necessary. Our schedule fills up fast. This bakery is not a retail location. All our products are made fresh for you in our licensed and inspected home kitchen. I just wanted to share that my grandmother passed away earlier this week. After receiving the call, I packed up and headed to Utah to be with family. The past few days have been filled with viewings, services, stories, hugs, tears, and so much love.
What an incredible life this sweet lady lived. I believe in God, and I know she was welcomed home by loved ones who went before her. While saying goodbye is never easy, there is comfort in knowing families are forever.
It has been a whirlwind week, and I am so grateful for everyone who knew what was happening and reached out with kind messages, prayers, and support. They have meant more than you know.
Because of the funeral and travel, the Porch Bakery will be closed this weekend. Thank you for your understanding.
I'll be back next weekend June 5-7th with fresh sourdough, cinnamon rolls, and cupcakes, and I look forward to seeing you then. ❤️

✨ Texas Sheet Cake ✨
One of the most dangerously good chocolate cakes I make. Rich, ultra-moist chocolate cake topped with warm fudgy icing that soaks right into the top like it’s supposed to. No fancy fussy frosting here… just pure chocolate comfort food. 🤎
And honestly? It’s one of the BEST cakes to take along.
Road trip. Camping. BBQ. Lake day. Late-night fridge snack.
If it gets a little warm, you don’t have to panic about perfectly piped frosting melting everywhere. It just gets even more gooey and delicious. 😍
Available tomorrow on the porch in 8x8 cakes while they last!

These Snickerdoodle Sammies are soft, cinnamon-sugary perfection stuffed with gooey salted caramel and honestly… one is never enough.
Freshly sandwiched, dangerously addictive, and headed to the porch bakery this weekend. 👏

People sometimes ask why artisan sourdough costs more than store bread… and honestly, this is why. 🤍
These loaves weren’t mixed and baked in an hour.
Today’s bake started at 8am with feeding starter, mixing dough, stretch & folds every 30 minutes, bulk fermentation, shaping, proofing, scoring by hand, creating steam in the oven, and baking late into the evening.
Twelve hours later… fresh artisan sourdough.
Real sourdough is slow food. It’s patience, timing, technique, and a whole lot of love packed into every loaf.
No shortcuts. No preservatives. Just flour, water, salt, starter, and time.
And when you hear that crust crackle while it cools on the counter… you realize why handmade bread is something special. 🥖✨

If cinnamon rolls had a love language… this would be it. 🤎
Fresh from the oven, loaded with buttery cinnamon layers, and dripping in glaze. The kind that makes you stand at the counter and “just take one bite”… then suddenly half the pan is gone. 😅
This weekend’s porch bakery lineup is dangerous.
