🏀Story time with Malissa’s Frybread.🏀

Since my son could walk he’s loved basketball. When he was in 3rd grade he really wanted to learn so I dusted off the old tennies and played with him and taught him the basics. Shoot, I used to be a baller! Eyute, ball was life loooong before Frybread ever was. lol Anyway, my biggest lesson was “be ready to catch and shoot at all times!” Why you ask… well because of this woman here!

Way back in the day Pine Ride Thorpes came to Lower Brule for a double header. Us Kul Wicasa girls were terrible haha we were all in 8th and 9th grade and were getting murdered. Nobody ever came to our games so normally it was no biggie. But the boys were great and I swear the whole town was there. I get the ball on the wing and Laura is down on the block I take my sweet time pulling up to shoot and BAM!!! OUT OF NOWHERE LAURA COMES FLYING IN AND SWATS ME SO HARD THE BALL BOUNCED OFF ONE WALL AND FLEW ACROSS TO THE OTHER END OF THE GYM!! Literally the most embarrassing moment of my life… but Laura went on to do some amazing things and it turned out to be one heck of a reason my son needed to learn to catch and shoot!! lol

Ever since I told him that story when we see her he says “Mom look there’s Laura Big Crow!” Just laughing at me! Sh*tass!! Needless to say she inspired me and my kid just by being a complete bad ass and someone the youth can look up to!❤️‍🔥💯 thanks for stopping in!!

We’ve got so many options we even have walking tacos and a skinny NDN’s for any of those who can’t do frybread!! Today’s special is:
I guarantee you’ve never had Menudo like mine!! It’s made with Taniga, bits of pork, onion, green chillis, hominy, and seasoned with a kick! 🌶️ comes in a 28oz bowl with a lid and 2 fluffy frybreads to dip! $15

Update: I googled welders near me and found Fab they got me right in and found that the bolt on the heating element came loose and water was leaking from there. They tightened the bolt and you would not believe what they asked for payment??? Frybread!!! Hahah ❤️‍🔥🙌🏾🤭

My steam table fell over off the table and now it will not hold water
I can clearly see where the water is leaking from. Anyone able to do a quick weld for me? I can come to you right neeeeowww!!!

Due to the food trailer needing new tires soon I will not be going east river until next week or the week after(depending on when Yankton’s tribal payday is) lol Marty, Wagner, Lake Andes peps stay tuned!

This week I’ll stay “close to home” and be visiting The Oglala people of Pine Ridge, Kyle, Martin, and do I go back to Ridge or do I go to Wanblee or Allen!? Lmk I’ll post the schedule later today!!
