Did you know bison are the national mammal of the United States? 🇺🇸
They officially earned the title in 2016, but they’ve been part of American history for a whole lot longer than that. In the late 1800s, the bison population dropped to fewer than 1,000 animals after decades of overhunting across the Great Plains. Today, they’re considered one of the country’s greatest conservation success stories and still play a huge role in the history and culture of western South Dakota.
So for Fourth of July week, it felt right to feature one of the most American pizzas on our menu:
Homemade buffalo lasagna slices, San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, fennel sausage, and Parmigiano Reggiano all piled onto one pizza that’s hearty, savory, and absolutely one of a kind.
