The Icehouse Building has been around since 1903 Starting as the Raton Crystal Ice and Cold Storage Company,

Over the years it has served the community in a number of capacities,Feed store Tack shop and an oil distribution Hub

Its transition to a culinary destination began when Bill Ratliff and Family opened THE ICEHOUSE in 2000

In 2013 the restaurant was purchased and renovated by The Hayden

Family, and the historic icehouse was born. We hope you enjoy our assortment of fresh comfort foods, award winning BBQ, and Fabulous Steaks and Drink

We intend for your experience here to be outstanding , and hope that you will come back often and tell others about us

Well, that’s a wrap on this go round of The IceHouse. I don’t know how to thank you all enough for all the love, support, donations and prayers. It is completely overwhelming how much y’all have done. I appreciate it so very much. To the SecondHand Band… you guys ROCKED THE HOUSE as always and I’ll always love you. Some special friends, Rebecca, Eric, Faith, J, Shawna and Tyler…. You guys are unbelievable. Thank you for stepping in and helping on such short notice and doing an amazing job! Thank you to this great community for all your love. Raton and DesMoines Rocks! Y’all showed up and showed out. Thank again ❤️❤️

Dear Customers,

After 6 years (almost to the day) in business I have to close our
doors due to health complications. I can’t fully express my deep
gratitude for your business and continued support over the years.
Serving this community has been a pleasure.

Our last effective day of business will be March 9, 2024. Until that
date, The most amazing crew at the Ice House will continue to serve
you on our regular schedule…

Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00a.m.-8:00p.m.

We want to make sure everyone that has a gift certificate has the
opportunity to use it, so get down here to see us!

Thank you for all of your support through our good and bad days,
global pandemics and down right great nights on the patio. We have
