On The Map Our Shop: We'll be opening our shop in Readfield again in the spring, once the snow melts a bit! As soon as we get regular hours, we'll post them here.

We started out doing local craft fairs, and thanks to our wonderful customers, we have quickly grown into a unique gift company. Since then, we have added several products to our line, and we are now in many stores across the country! We are in locations such as:

Because we've recently expanded our wholesale business, we have changed our name from Shades of Maine to On The Map to better reflect that we can make our products with maps of anywhere! We will locate your map for you, and send you images to be sure they are to your liking. Our unique map products are perfect reminders anywhere for seasonal visitors, relatives, friends and co-workers. They make thoughtful gifts for holidays, anniversaries and weddings.......and yourself! Our products are also prefect for when you need to find a gift for that person who "already has everything"! We'll be updating our website in the upcoming months to include fabric and color samples, lots of great stores around the country where you can find our products, retail shows that we'll be at, and what days we'll be open at our shop in Readfield (beginning this spring).
