Golden hour, good food, and even better company 🌿🍷

We stopped at Sam’s Social Club during their lounge hours and ended up with the most relaxed, dreamy afternoon on their covered patio—perfect spring weather and nowhere to rush off to.

We started with the smoked trout dip (with housemade chips + endive 😍), then slightly overestimated our pizza capacity… thinking they’d be smaller. Spoiler: they were not. We definitely went home with leftovers—and zero regrets.

🍕 Margherita — crushed tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil (simple and perfect)
🌶 Country Pizza — housemade sausage, smoked mozzarella, pickled fresno chiles, castelvetrano olives, arugula (spicy, savory, SO good...SOOO spicy 🥵🤣)

Between the blooming flowers lining the vineyards on our drive and the sheep casually grazing through the rows (my sister was obsessed 🐑), it felt like the kind of slow, sweet afternoon you wish you could bottle up.

If you’re headed toward Calistoga for wine tasting, this is such a cute stop to ease into the day. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

There are meals that taste good… and then there are meals that taste like a place. 🌊🥖

Every time I drive through Pescadero, I fall a little more in love with that stretch of coast. The artichoke fields rolling along the highway, the salty air, the quiet charm of the town — it’s impossible not to leave with something delicious.

This last time it was a loaf of artichoke garlic herb bread from the legendary Arcangeli Grocery Company — the kind of bread that already smells like dinner before you even slice it.

So naturally… it became crostini.

Golden toasted slices piled high with:
✨ garlic sautéed chicken
✨ tangy artichoke hearts
✨ smoky bacon (because obviously)
✨ creamy melted brie
✨ artichoke aioli
✨ finished with fresh garlic greens for that bright little bite of spring

Every bite is crunchy, creamy, garlicky, and rich in the best possible way.

And because a meal like this deserves a proper partner, I opened a bottle of Pecorino from Terre di Chieti (Niro Di Citra) — crisp, citrusy, and bright enough to cut through all that buttery brie and bacon. 🍷

This is the kind of food that makes people gather in the kitchen.
The kind where someone reaches for just one more crostini… five times. (Guilty. 🙋‍♀️)

Coastal bread.
Good wine.
Garlic in the air.

Honestly?
That’s my love language.

SOURDOUGH FOCACCIA IS BACK NEXT WEEK!

I’ll be baking fresh sourdough focaccia and I’m officially opening up pre-orders now.

Flavors available:
🧄 Garlic
🌿 Rosemary Green Olive
🧀🌶 Cheddar–Mozzarella Jalapeño

These are slow-fermented, airy on the inside, golden and crisp on the edges, with that beautiful olive oil richness that makes focaccia completely irresistible.

Perfect for:
• Slicing thick for the ultimate sandwich
• Dipping in good olive oil + balsamic
• Toasting and slathering with butter
• Serving alongside soup or pasta
• Or honestly… tearing off pieces straight from the loaf while it’s still warm

🥖 Singles: $3.50
🥖 Full Loaves: $21

They will be fresh, fragrant, and absolutely drool-worthy. If you’ve had my sourdough before, you already know. If you haven’t… this is your sign.

Comment or message me to claim yours — I bake based on pre-orders and these will go fast.

Let’s make your kitchen smell like heaven next week. 🥖🔥

Look at how Kyler adores his arancini. 😍 He was absolutely in love with these little balls of goodness. And don't you dare chop it up—he wants them whole, uncut, revered. Can you blame him? I mean, we’re talking creamy porcini risotto, Parmigiano Reggiano, minced onion slowly cooked in Sauvignon Blanc, a hint of lemon, and mozzarella that stretches like a toddler’s patience… breaded in panko with parsley, fried golden, and paired with pesto aioli + black truffle chile oil aioli. 🫓✨

I had to move the platter or Kyler would have performed his signature toddler taste-test: bite, back on the plate, grab next…repeat. Elegance meets chaos, one TINY bite at a time. 🍄🧀💛
