We will be re-opening Cheliz on Tuesday, Sept 1, 2020. Our hours will be be from 8am-2pm. We will have both limited outdoor seating as well as TOGO orders.

You knew her as your friendly server and the owner of Cheliz Restaurant. I knew her as my beloved sister and the heart of our family.

Leticia Silverio lost her battle with COVID-19 on August 2, 2020. So many of you have reached out to offer prayers and sympathy and to share your memories of her. Letty left behind a grieving husband Jose-Luis - her high school sweetheart. She also left behind three beautiful kids who miss their mom.

When Letty opened Cheliz Restaurant, it was her hope that the income would allow her children the college education she wasn’t able to complete herself. Now, Cheliz Restaurant has had to close its doors, and Letty is no longer with us.

We have set up a GoFundMe site for those in our community who would like to help: https://www.gofundme.com/f/remembering-letty?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1. Some of the funds will help cover medical and funeral expenses, but our fondest wish is that we are able to raise enough money to help set up college funds for Letty’s three children.

Thank you for your support. And please, be careful, friends. Wear your masks. Practice social distancing. Love each other. We don’t want any more families to have to grieve like this.
