Apparently, if we can’t open the diner yet… WE’RE JUST GOING TO TAKE THE DINER OUTSIDE. 😂

Smaller menu? Yes.
Same incredible food? ABSOLUTELY.
Same quality and service? YOU ALREADY KNOW.
Are we slightly unhinged at this point? ALSO YES. 🤪🔥

But this temporary outdoor, takeout-only operation needs a NAME — and we’re putting that responsibility in the hands of Facebook, which seems both exciting and mildly concerning. 😂

The conditions were not safe where the old hood was!!

Also, huge thanks to my Dad Tommy Prince and my Uncles (his brothers) for helping get a tankless water heater installed to keep up with our growing business!

Good Morning 🌞

There is progress happening so that's a positive sign! Our hot water tank and dishwasher are also being worked on! Once we have hot water we can do outside business 😁

We got the go ahead from the health department to cook outside 🙌🏻! There is some planning that goes into serving/cooking outside. So we are coming up with a plan.

We still are uncertain on a timeline for reopening the diner. I'm praying sometime this coming week but we are waiting on some very important parts for the hood setup and can only complete so much until we receive those parts, sigh 😔

Thank you for being here with us, thank you for supporting us, and I can't wait to open up for everyone!

Danielle is in contact with the Health Department to see what permits if any we need to be allowed to cook outside for everyone! Takeout is at least something, right.

Also, coffee mania taste good inside and outside 😉

We'll find a way! 🙏🏻

💔 An Update From The Richford Diner

It breaks our hearts to share this, but unfortunately we will not be able to reopen on July 10.

Unforeseen circumstances have come up that require additional work and more time to complete. At this point, we're unsure of the exact date we'll be able to reopen, but we'll continue to keep everyone updated as we know more.

If you could, please keep us in your prayers. We are praying this closure is as short as possible.

Please also say a prayer for our incredible staff. This unexpected delay means they're now facing unforeseen financial hardships as well, and that's one of the hardest parts of all of this. 😢

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing by us through this journey. Your encouragement, prayers, and continued support have meant more than words can express. We know we'll get through this together, one step at a time.

We'll keep you posted as soon as we have another update. ❤️

They've started cutting into the ceiling 😱🫣

🚨 HOOD UPDATE! 🚨

First, from the bottom of our hearts... THANK YOU. ❤️

This community continues to amaze us every day!!

As of today, you have helped raise a little over $18,000 toward our new hood system. Every donation, every share, every recommendation, every kind word, every meal purchased, and every person cheering us on has made a difference.

Owning a small-town diner isn't always easy, but moments like this remind us why we do it. The support we've received has been overwhelming in the best possible way. We are incredibly grateful, humbled, and blessed to have such an amazing community standing behind us. 🙌

📢 Materials for the new hood will be purchased Monday!

🏁 Our FINAL hood fundraiser will be:
June 27th
Noon–4 PM
Ringwood Raceway
Come hang out, have some fun, and help us push this project across the finish line!

Now for the part that hurts our souls...

🔐 The Richford Diner will be CLOSED July 6th–9th while the new hood is installed.

That's right.

No breakfast.
No lunch.
No fish fry.
No coffee.
No pie.

We're honestly not sure what we're supposed to do with ourselves for four whole days! 🙄 We may wander aimlessly through asking strangers if they'd like home fries and to add onion. We may start serving imaginary pancakes to our dogs. We may stare longingly at the grill and whisper, "soon."

But the temporary closure means a safer, better future for the diner, and we couldn't be more excited.

Thank you for helping make this happen. This hood isn't being installed because of us.

It's being installed because of YOU. ❤️

Extremely grateful for all of these people who volunteered their time to help move everything out of the kitchen! It is cleaned up and everything is out for the next crew to come in and work on the installation! Thank you Pastor Dennis Prentice for gathering strong men to get the job done 🙏🏻
