HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

250 years of peaceful transitions of power is no small feat!

Our democracy has seen periods of prosperity and periods of extreme want. We've elected some courageous leaders who sought the welfare of the people, and we've elected some crooks who sought only the welfare of their pocketbooks. There have been movements for peace and equality, and movements for the opposite.

The United States has seen a lot over the past two and a half centuries, and the democracy has endured. If anyone tells you 'the end is nigh!!' direct them to the nearest history book, because for as long as we, the citizens, have a voice we will always be able to set our government back on the right track.
