Birdhouse Farmers Market Launched in 2007 by William Byrd Community House (1923-2015) of Oregon Hill, Richmond VA, as a urban farmers market in a food desert neighborhood.

Birdhouse Farmers Market is a food focused, weekly farmers market operating year round in Randolph.

We just wanted to pop on here to remind you that we have ample volunteer opportunities in the Birdhouse Community Garden all Summer long! ☀️

Weekly* Volunteer Opportunities:
🫜Saturdays, 8am - 10am (time adjusted for the Summer heat!)
🍅 Tuesdays, 3pm - 6pm
🫐 Join a volunteer group!
🥬 Anytime! You are always welcome in the garden, even if we’re not there!

The Birdhouse Community Garden exists as an educational space in the Randolph neighborhood, right beside the Birdhouse Farmers Market (just walk through the gazebo!) ✨
We’re here to teach each other how to grow food, offer an easy access point for local food harvesting on your own time, host accessible workshops, and to build connections around growing food within our community. 🪏
Everyone is welcome, no matter your existing garden knowledge. We’re all learning together. 👍
Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you can get dirty. Bring a water bottle and maybe a friend. 😉

Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, we’d love to hear from you. We’re hiring for field crew, packing shed, farmers market, and food preparation positions.
