Who says meeting lunches have to be boring when you can serve a spread like this?

While the big hustle and bustle events are always a lot of fun in their own right, there’s nothing better than a small VIP lunch where the team just gets to have some fun and be creative.

This is just a small snippet of the kinds of things we like to serve when those times come along.

Still thinking about that Katsu Sandwich, weeks after the fact

Woke up jamming Mariah so what better time to show some pieces of this year’s event

The food was flowing, the music was pumping, and everyone was having a great time for this one.

A ton goes on behind the scenes to make events like this happen, and it’s an honor and privilege to continue to be involved in them. Serving 3000 people at once is not for the faint of heart, but the task and challenge is a reward in and of itself.

Already looking forward to next year

Got to see a fellow alum in his natural habitat last night.

has unsurprisingly curated a breathtaking experience with his restau and I feel so thankful to have been able to finally experience it for myself.

From the friendliness of the staff, to the decor and environment, and obviously the remarkable food and drinks, every piece of this place is phenomenal. Best seat in the house is obviously the bar where you can watch him and his team of chefs make every dish right in front of you, and chat with them as they do so.

I was lucky enough to get squeezed into a seat right in the midst of the action, where Chef treated me to his favorite dishes on the night’s menu, which rotates and changes daily, and there wasn’t a single bite or sip that disappointed. 12/10, no notes.

If you’re in the Long Beach area or within traveling distance, RUN don’t walk, and make a reservation. You won’t regret it

Just a small collection of shots from the last month for your viewing pleasure

Feels like I’m finally settling into LA and the new job, and I’m loving both. I’m eating, cooking, and seeing so many new things with each passing week and the longer I’m here the more I’m finding to love.

The adventure is just beginning.

-Brunch Charcuterie (Herbed Cream Cheese, Gorgonzola Wedges, Chioggia Chips, Banana Split Flambé)
-Sweet Potato Souffle w/ Brown Butter Powder
-Traveler’s Charcuterie

Photodump alert—

October was a wild ride, and the past two months as a whole have been a rollercoaster. Moving to LA and starting a new work venture has its pros and opportunities, but I'm really enjoying the journey.

Between work events and exploring the city, I'm certainly never bored. Plus let's be real, the food here is amazing.

All things considered, I'm loving LA so far and excited for what's next.

This is the way…we do

Comic Con has come and gone, and it wiped me out along the way. Upside to getting my butt kicked for three days is all of the amazing cosplay I got to see alongside creators of some of my favorite comics, shows, and movies. Add in getting to see Matthew Lillard, S***t Ulrich, David Tennant, Denise Richards, and some other favorite actors, and the nerd in me ended up very happy.

On top of that we got to serve out some absolutely fantastic themed dishes like our Super Saiyan Bao and Squid Ink Karaage Sandwich. All in all it was a great weekend to be a nerd.

Now to rest, before tackling our next big event 💪🏽

I made it out to LA for good, and what a trip it was

Finishing my last Kentucky State Fair, driving through seven states, moving into a new apartment in LA, and jumping straight into working the Emmy’s was not an event i could have predicted, but I’ll take it.

It’s been a whirlwind finally getting out here and planted, but thus far I can certainly say it’s been worth it. The opportunities this new journey could bring are limitless.

Here’s to challenging myself in this new role and in this new culinary environment. Can’t wait to see what’s next

My last Kentucky State Fair came and went with a lot of fun, and a lot of goodbyes 💥

Haven’t posted for a while due to an insane schedule the last month and a half, but wanted to get back on and share some sights from my final Kentucky State Fair. My team and I absolutely knocked it out of the park, and I can’t imagine a better way to have ended my time in Kentucky. 15,000 mouths served over the span of ten days is an accomplishment in any way, but to have finished as strongly as we did I couldn’t be more proud of my team.

Immediately following the state fair I packed up a moving truck and drove cross country to my new home in Los Angeles.

Keep an eye out for my adventures since getting out here, and in the meantime, join me in celebrating the close of one chapter, and the beginning of another entirely.

Three cheers to a fresh start!

Made it to the Windy City recently and thankfully didn’t get blown away 💨

By the wind, that is. The food on the other hand? Superb at every turn. The event I was there for ended up being a huge reception with action stations galore, and a ton of great music and live events for the guests. We catered a wide array of food to enjoy from tacos, to gyros, to sliders, to s’mores, and beyond. There was a little something for everyone.

I was also lucky enough to try lots of local Chicago fare, and wasn’t disappointed at any point. If you make it that way any time soon and love Greek food like I do, you absolutely have to check out Yasemi. Best Greek food I’ve had in my life. Highly recommend!

Next trip on the books is LA as I get ready to move out there. Onward and upward!

Huge shoutout to for another great event 👏🏾

Can’t ever say enough how appreciative I am of the team and guests I’m lucky enough to spend time with and cook for each time I’m there. Over the last few years it’s become like a second work family, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Huge thanks to everyone who came and joined us for the other night’s event, and to the MESA team for everything they’ve done for me in my time with them!
