Thank you everyone for the kind words! If you’re looking for a good home cooked meal we’d love to see you!
In Richmond, Kentucky you can head to Jackson’s Restaurant for some of the tastiest Southern comfort food in the area, served in a relaxed hometown setting where hearty portions are the norm. This locally owned favorite has been feeding Richmond since owner Sean Jackson took over the former Opal’s Restaurant in 2011. Its popular meat-and-three hot bar changes throughout the week, while meatloaf and fried pork chops are offered every day alongside country vegetables, pulled pork, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, catfish, and other filling choices.
Breakfast is available all day, so fluffy pancakes, eggs, and other morning favorites are still an option long after lunchtime. The menu also includes burgers, loaded salads, fried pickles, warm homemade rolls, and plenty of familiar Southern sides. Jackson’s has earned “Best Home Cooking” honors in Madison County more than once, and its friendly staff, comfortable dining room, and generous servings help explain why it remains a local favorite. Save room for one of the homemade desserts, especially coconut cream or pecan pie. First-time visitors are even welcomed with a free slice, making an already satisfying meal a little sweeter.
