This was 10 years ago today. ..

I had just recently gotten the news that I was diagnosed with cancer for a second time. This time it came back with a vengeance. It was in my lung, liver, kidney, and abdomen. It hit my lymphnodes and spread. We took a weekend trip down to Port A. This was the weekend before I started the fight of my life. I spent the weekend doing as much as i could with my wife and kids. I laughed, and loved on them as much as i could because I knew i was facing one heck of a fight when I got home. In this picture below I had just pulled over and let Teresa start driving. We got back on the road and he pulled us over. This officer seen the shirt I was wearing which said Cancer Won't Bully Me. It was for a friend of mines son who was battling cancer as well. He asked me about it and I shared my friends story and mine. He then laid hands on me and prayed. He got in his cruiser and left. He left us more blessed than before we got pulled over.

You see sometimes what we see as a moment of inconvenience or disappointment could reveal a blessing. If you are walking in a season of frustration or disappointment look for the blessing. God could be doing a work. Most of the time its not what we are going through but our attitude or outlook on our situation that makes it good or bad. Find the good.
