Update‼️‼️
They have removed oxygen and most of the lines attached to him except his IJ line and one IV BUT he is taking his formula well and so they will transfer his IV meds to oral and they said we are going to step down later today more than likely 🙌🏼🥳 and this morning he was kicking his legs and trying to smile so prayers are being answer and we are well on our way to leaving Vanderbilt and heading back home. Thank you Jesus 🙌🏼🥳🥰

‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️We dropped his ventilator again this morning to 12 and he is basically doing all the breathing on his own and he is showing us he is over the tubes so today we will get the tubes out and possibly even get to go to step down 🙌🏼🥳🥰

We met our surgeon for tomorrow Dr. Mery && he explained they will be performing a Aortic Arch Advancement which will require them to have to put Kainan on a cardiopulmonary bypass machine and they will have to stop his heart and cool his body down to 64° to help preserve his organs. The entire procedure will take roughly 7 hours. The repair itself will take 20 minutes. They are going to be removing the part of his aorta that is all zigzag and narrow. I’m one scared mama. Yall please pray God is in that room guiding the surgeons hands and that this is behind us and we are on the mend asap! 🙌🏼😭🙏🏼
