As of Sunday, The Lobby officially closed its doors.
It’s hard to put into words what these last six years have meant to our family.
When we opened The Lobby, we simply hoped to create a place where people felt welcome. A place to meet friends, unwind after a long day, and discover your new favorite cocktail.
What we never expected was how many of those familiar faces would become part of our story.
To everyone who chose to spend an evening with us, brought friends to experience The Lobby for the first time, and supported us through every high and every challenge, thank you. You carried us through more than you’ll ever know.
And to every employee who helped make The Lobby what it became, thank you. Your hard work, dedication, and heart helped create something that meant so much to us. We’ll always be grateful for everything you gave to this place.
Owning a small business has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives, but it has also required long days, late nights, weekends, holidays, and plenty of sacrifices. We wouldn’t change any of it. But we’ve reached a point where we’re ready for a little more balance. Our sons are building lives of their own, our daughter is growing up faster than we’d like, and we’ve realized just how important it is to make time for the people who matter most.
Although The Lobby has closed, this isn’t the end for us. We’re excited to be partnering with fellow Riverside business owners to bring a brand-new concept to this space. It will be something completely different, but we’ll still be part of it, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in The Lobby and supporting our family. Riverside has given us so much, and we’ll never be able to fully express how grateful we are for this community.
We took a chance on a dream.
Now it’s time to chase the next one.
