Every day when I visit my mom, I go past a billboard that says this.

And I think how often kids and adults with Celiac Disease are left out of social situations because people think it's too difficult to accommodate our gluten free diet.

We get it. And most of us are more than willing to bring our own food. We just want personal connection with others, just like everyone else.

If you have Celiac Disease, it takes a little bit more detective work to learn if the local ice cream place can safely offer you ice cream.

It's more than just offering a gluten free ice cream flavor.
What steps do they take to prevent cross contact?
Will they scoop from a fresh tub?
Do they offer gluten free cones?
