With much gratitude, some sadness along with some anxiety mixed in, I have made the decision to close Neutral Ground's Corn Hill location. After running two coffeehouses for over two years, I have come to realize that owning two locations is three times as hard, and between prioritizing my health, my sanity, and work-life balance, it is the right thing for me to do personally. My Pittsford shop (my original baby) has so much more potential and focusing on Pittsford will help me pursue some cool new opportunities there instead of splitting my time between two locations. I put my heart and soul into Corn Hill and I'm proud of what I accomplished there, and the regular customers that have become friends, the Corn Hill neighborhood and the local businesses along with my landlord, Mark IV have been so supportive, and I am eternally grateful. A new business is moving in and I wish them much success making friends just as we did, and bringing the location to its full potential. Tomorrow will be our last day open, so please stop by or come visit us in Pittsford, good things are coming there! Thanks and much love, Marianne

I am so grateful to everyone that participated, donated and supported our Wilmot Warrior Team - "Team Iron and Grind". This year Neutral Ground and Insite Software (my brothers company) joined forces and raised $10,000 to support ongoing research at Wilmot. This event means so much to me, and my family and friends did not disappoint! Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, hopefully our contribution will help contribute to more success stories like mine. Love to you all. - Marianne

Marianne Warfle’s life changed in 2019 when her non-Hodgkin lymphoma returned. Her brother Steve searched for the best care—going as far as Texas and NYC—only to hear this: “𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘵.”

With a stem cell transplant from Steve and support from Wilmot’s incredible team, Marianne is in remission. She even launched her dream coffee shop, an idea that came to her while she was hospitalized at Wilmot.

Today, she’s thriving and giving back through Wilmot Warrior Weekend to help others facing cancer.

“Those people were angels,” Marianne says. “We’re so lucky to have Wilmot here.”

Eggs…have way more than doubled in price, Avocado’s? Bacon? Same. Crappy weather, wage increases, permits for this, regulations for that, controversial upcharges, tipping, pricing, parking, it’s a lot of variables. As a small business owner, I really love my local communities, love my regular customers, and my amazing staff. I mostly (91-92% of my days, maybe less other days) love being a business owner. I put my heart and soul into it and learn something new everyday. I always want to provide a comfortable place for you to come together, get a great cup of coffee, a breakfast sandwich, and enjoy our public wi-fi and great location. We love it when you hang out with us, if you are a stranger when you come in, you will quickly become our friends. Please folks, support your local small business owners, sourced price increases affect us so much more than the big chains. We always try to be here for you, please be here for us. We love employing your kids, donating to local fundraisers and being involved in the neighborhood, let’s keep the money in our local community.
