National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month is in November and this one hits close to home 💜

The FORGET ME NOT Tea will be featured all month long to help raise funds and awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease.

The purpose of this month is to spread awareness about the disease and information about prevention, support networks, and educational resources for caretakers. The website alz.org is a great resource for people looking for more resources 💜

Grandma Secor is the type of grandma, that was born to be everyone’s grandma. Having raised 6 boys, mostly by herself, you would think she was a modern day super hero. All of her time, she lovingly gave to others. She even became one of the FIRST woman Fire Fighters 🚒 Having lost my mom at 3, she played a major role in my life and I continuously try to live up to her legacy of doing GOOD 💜 In her memory, and all the magnificent individuals suffering from this debilitating disease, (SHOUTOUT TEAM RIVERA for always helping💜) we will be accepting donations and fundraising for ALZ 💜

Every year, the Reiter Family donates teas to The Surgical Transplant Department in memory of Bob Reiter. The care he received while at Strong meant the world to the family, so much so, that years later they are still giving back to these amazing caregivers ‼️

The solid organ transplant nursing unit at Strong Memorial Hospital cares for patients throughout their transplant journey, specializing in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients.
The nursing staff work tirelessly day in and day out caring for some of the most complex patients in the hospital. They give so much of themselves to our patients, their families, and to each other, and we are privileged to be involved in a retreat that allows them to step away for a day, recharge, connect with their coworkers, and feel appreciated for everything they do.

Today just serves as a reminder that small acts of kindness, go a long way 💕

So pay it forward, be kind, remember to smile and be the reason someone believes in good people today.
