There’s a certain kind of silence in Wyoming that people don’t talk about enough.

Not the empty kind.
Not the lonely kind.

It’s the kind of silence that still has movement inside it. Sagebrush rattling against itself. Birds trading gossip across the fence line. The distant hum a vehicle disappearing down a two-lane dirt road. And always, the wind.

Under a wide western sky, the flag flies at half-staff. 🇺🇸

Today is more than a long weekend at the cabin or the start of summer trails and campfires. It is a day to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for this country.

Out here, the silence says enough.

To the fallen heroes and the families who carry their memory every day, we remember you.

We honor you.

And we thank you for the freedom to live this wild and beautiful life.
