Starting this Sunday!!

The sun is shining, the coffee is brewing, and Sundays are coming! We will see you THIS Sunday, June 7th, for delicious , fresh coffee, and great reads! We are so happy to be open 7 days a week and are grateful for all the lovely humans that visit our shop each day ❤️

Last but not least for our Java Time donuts is one inspired by one of my favorite treats - Caramel Affogato. The combination of our salted caramel glaze atop a fresh buttermilk brioche donut that’s then filled with an espresso buttercream. It has, like all three of our Java Time donuts, been popular in coffee loving Rockland ☕️🍩

A reminder that tomorrow is National Donut Day! As always we will up our production but if history is any indication while I can control this side of the counter I have none on the patron side, so if you’re thinking you’d like to celebrate National Donut Day with us I’d get here sooner rather than not sooner….just sayin’

We are psyched to announce that, starting tomorrow, we are BACK on Monhegan every Thursday this summer at The Mooring Chain with Monhegan Coffee Roasters!

Thursdays just got sweeter at The Mooring Chain!! After a year hiatus, we’re bringing Ruckus back to Monhegan. Starting this Thursday (tomorrow!) and every Thursday this summer, you’ll find a limited selection of the famous from Rockland! Donuts arrive on the morning and will be available around 8:30am. ☕️🍩

This Friday is National Donut Day! Practically a holey (see what I did there?) day of obligation at Ruckus Donuts, it’s the official celebration of the donut. Many offices/workplaces/etc will be stopping in to celebrate (I mean, any excuse to get a donut, right) so while we always increase production for the 1st Friday of June if you’re thinking of celebrating you may want to consider a preorder via ruckusdonuts.com to guarantee you get your Ruckus Donut on on this most special day.

You never know where the next donut idea will come from…

A few days ago we had the opportunity to do a one off donut that required using sour cream. The easiest way to incorporate that was to add it to our vanilla cream glaze (the one we use for W***y Vanilly & others)

Let’s just say the tang the sour cream added caught my attention 😋

Fast forward a few days and, with the brainstorming help of , meet Sour Cream Crunch. A tangy vanilla glaze with some rough crumbled Nilla wafers for texture, curb appeal & flavor.

I like this donut. A lot. We think you will too. Keep your eyes open for it.

It is a joyous day at Ruckus Donuts and for many of our devoted Ruckateers in that the dare I say (I dared!) legendary Rhubarb Crisp makes its 2026 debut!!

This is easily one of our most anticipated & cultish donuts. I like it in that it’s always the first opportunity of the year for us to use something growing locally right now, a precursor of all things berry to come. Our vanilla cream glaze covered with a toasted oat/shortbread crumble, some vanilla drizzle fo shizzle, then the star of the show - a not too sweet rhubarb compote featuring locally harvested rhubarb, a hint of orange zest & baking spices in just enough sugar to take the pucker off.

And as always with early season rhubarb it’s more earth toned. As summer comes so too will the amazing magenta hue.

When this donut appears it means summer isn’t far off 😊
