We believe that the root cause of systemic poverty in Latin America is the manner in which agricultural products have been grown, financed, and traded since the 1800’s. Small farmers—usually in remote areas—have been affected the most because they have not had access to quality education, training, financing, or distributors that sell directly to retailers or consumers. We believe this to be inten

tional poverty that has been created by “middlemen” that have become accustomed to manipulating the supply chain in an effort to make money at the expense of hard-working farmers. The most frustrating part of this is that they’ve been using consumers’ hard-earned money to achieve this and usually by selling at prices that are unfair to consumers. We’re working to change this! We work directly with small coffee farmers and engage them as respected partners. We help them to grow diversified organic crops that protect their environment while creating additional income for them. We also believe that consumers need to have access to products that are good for them and are priced fairly. That is why we will always seek the most efficient way to source and sell our farmers’ products, eliminating all middlemen that don’t add value, and operating a business model that creates value for our customers. We’ve been working on this since 1997 and, to be honest, it hasn’t made us too many friends in the industry, which is a good sign. The end result is delicious, healthy, quality products that consumers can purchase at prices that are fair from the producers to the consumer.

We all love Bruno 🫶

Great coffee is about more than just taste, it’s about the relationships behind it. I recently visited our partners, Ana María and Jorge, at Finca Montealegre (Café Montealegre ) in El Salvador. We’ve been working together for nine years, and seeing their commitment to organic farming and regenerative agriculture firsthand was incredible. They aren’t just protecting the land, they’re actively improving it for the future.

If you want to learn more about our producer-partners, Comment: “Finca” and I’ll send you a link for 15% off your next order 🤫

The World Cup isn't just about soccer. It's about community. ⚽️❤️🌎

We headed to the Fan Fest in Guadalajara to experience what happens when thousands of Latinos come together to celebrate the game we all love. Different countries, different jerseys, different chants... but the same passion.

Moments like these remind us that soccer has a special way of bringing our cultures together.

Which country are you cheering for this last week of the World Cup? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Every origin trip reminds us why we do what we do. ❤️🌱

Behind every cup is a community, generations of knowledge, and producers who dedicate their lives to growing exceptional coffee. Visiting our partners in El Salvador at Finca Montealegre isn't just about checking on the harvest—it's about strengthening relationships, learning from one another, and continuing to build a better coffee industry together.

These moments are a reminder that great coffee begins long before it reaches your mug.

Today I wanted to bring you through the basics of how we roast signature Cubano roast here at Mayorga

Our cubano roast is our main dark roast that’s formulated with a mix of coffee greens from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Peru. All directly and organically sourced.

Cubano is one of my favorite blends but I’ve been drinking so much I need to have decaf now…
Le me know what your favorite blend is in the comments!

Over the weekend, this community came together to support our familia in Venezuela, and the results are incredible.

Because of every single order you placed from Friday to Sunday, we raised $24,500.

As promised, 100% of those funds have been transferred directly to World Central Kitchen (World Central Kitchen ). We chose to support them because they are already on the ground, bypassing the red tape to put fresh, hot meals directly into the hands of displaced families and first responders.

While this donation is a meaningful step to help our friends on the ground, we know the road to recovery is long and the work doesn’t stop here. The relief efforts are still heavily underway, and if you are able to keep supporting them directly, please do. We have left the direct donation link to World Central Kitchen in our bio so you can continue to help.

Thank you for trusting us to do this the right way, and for stepping up when it matters most. This is what community looks like.

Estamos con ustedes, Venezuela. 🇻🇪
