NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED LINE COOKS wage: D.O.E.
Cheers Etcetera is seeking to expand our cullinary team. We have Day and Night positions available to fill. We are looking people who are motivated, self starters possessing the ability take direction well. You must be able to quicly learn our menu(s) and execute food orders with care and consistency while keeping an eye on quality, timeliness, and cleanliness.
The duties inherent to these positions include but are not limited to:
1. Working courteously with felllow staff memebers. (F.O.H & B.O.H.)
2. Keeping a clean and presentable appearance and maintaining a clean and tidy work space.
3. The ability to read kitchen tickets and execute them preparing all Cheers Etc. menu items properly and consistently.
4. Utilizing our portion control systems and completing prep work in accordance with established pars and preparation methods.
5. Sorting, rotating, and putting away stock in proper storage areas. (This may include lifting up to 50 # on occasion)
6. Knowledge of temperature control and required food handling procedures and the ability to properly utilize those practices.
7. Filtering deep fryers (nightly procedure utilizing our electric fryer filtration pump) and fryer boil out procedures (to be completed weekly).
8. Washing dishes is an included duty when a dedicated dish washer is not on shift.
9. General familiarity with the flat top griddle, deep fryers, flame broiler, convection oven, and hood system and how to clean them and troubleshoot issues that may arise is a must.
10. The ability to read your schedule, arive on time, and be ready to get started when your shift begins is a non-negotiable requirement.
** Knowledge of placing orders with foodservice vendors is a plus.
** Foodservice Mgr. Certification is a plus, although it is not required. (We will pay for your certifiaction if you'd like to take the course)
