We were honored to host a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary with friends around the King's Table. Great food and great company made for a memorable evening.

The best part? They invited our bartender, Ed, to jump into the photo with them. It's moments like these that remind us what hospitality is all about—building connections that make guests feel like family.

Introducing our new chef, Markie Garwood.

Born and raised in Tularosa, NM, Chef Markie developed his passion for food through a childhood spent hunting, fishing, and exploring the forests and landscapes of the Southwest. Those experiences continue to inspire his culinary approach: taking the rustic flavors and ingredients familiar to our region and transforming them into something elevated and memorable.

With a playful spirit and a passion for creativity, Chef Markie draws inspiration from music, nature, and the joy of bringing people together through food. At The Ranchers in Ruidoso, he is committed to creating exceptional dining experiences while introducing fresh ideas, seasonal features, and chef-driven dishes. This is just the beginning, with much more creativity and flavor still to come.

Appetizer/small plate: "That Fun-Guy from the Forest" - Locally sourced oyster mushrooms from Roswell, tempura fried and served with asparagus purée, maple-quail gastrique, and a micro salad. Available for $18 and satisfying enough to be enjoyed as a meal.

Entrée: St. Louis-style Kurobuta pork ribs glazed with Jack Daniel's Barrel BBQ sauce, served with citrus pesto roasted potatoes, seasonal salad, and locally sourced micro cantaloupe. Available for $35.
