Guys, I've been holding out on you. But with good reason — I wanted to be sure this was really happening before I said anything.

A few years back, I was approached about writing a book on classic Maine diners. I agreed and spent months and months, researching, visiting diners and eating delightful diner food. Now, finally, that book is set to make its debut.

I have a confession. I did not cry when I heard of Wally's passing. I think its because every time I think of him I smile. He was loud. He talked an awful lot. He was very opinionated. He was proud as a peacock of his boys(actually brought in a boot to show off how big his son's foot was. I think he was trying to entice me on a date with him! Lol). Most of all he was upbeat. Life kicked his ass and he still smiled. That's how we will remember him. Julie says, you've used up all your words and I say, G**O! Rest in peace our friend!
