Sometimes, the hardest decision a business owner can make is realizing that the best way to move forward is to pause.
Since opening the Pig & Platter, it’s been one challenge after another—in the best possible way. From opening our doors, to building a team, to serving our amazing community, to making it through one of the hottest fair seasons we’ve ever had to experience, it’s been an incredible journey. I’m grateful for every customer who has walked through our doors and every employee who has been part of that journey.
Now it’s time for me to do something I’ve put off for far too long…take a much-needed vacation.
The Pig & Platter will be closed until August 6 while I take time to rest, recharge, and come back with fresh energy and a renewed vision.
Over the past few days, there have been plenty of rumors and speculation. As we move forward, I’d simply like to leave all of that behind. My focus isn’t on yesterday—it’s on tomorrow. The Pig & Platter has an exciting future, and that’s where my attention belongs.
When we reopen on August 6, you’ll see many familiar faces, some new ones, and a team that’s ready to provide the great food, hospitality, and hometown service you’ve come to expect. Change is a natural part of growth, and I’m excited for this next chapter.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believed in us, and stood by us. Your encouragement means more than words can express.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we’ll see you on August 6—rested, refreshed, and ready to welcome you back.
