Two wonderful new coffees from just hit our shelves. Let’s talk about it 👇

The Carlos Trujillo comes to us from his family farm, Patio Bonita, in Caldono Cauca, Colombia. We are thrilled to share this “Variety Select” lot from their father-daughter-producing team.

Strawberry preserves, and candied lemon peel start you off with a wonderfully complex palette. Bright punchy citrus, meets cooked sugars to create a syrupy mouthfeel, before settling into a rich dark chocolate finish. The uniqueness of the Pink Bourbon variety makes the Carlos Trujillo a can’t miss cup.

Owner of Finca Santa Cruz in Chiapas, Mexico, Jose “Pepe” Arguello has been working in coffee production his entire life. Although Finca Santa Cruz is only 6 years old, it has already achieved widespread notoriety with a Cup of Excellence win in 2019.

The Jose Arguello is a perfect comfort coffee, starting off with the familiar richness of cacao powder, before lifting with the light sweetness of Honeysuckle and finally finishing with bright crisp fuji apple.

Our first-ever coffee from Peru! The Sahuayaco comes to us from the Sahuayaco community in the La Convención sub-region, which resides in the southern mountains of Cusco. This part of the country is as beautiful as it is remote, located not too far from Machu Picchu.

The high altitudes and steep, mountainous terrain creates the perfect microclimates for coffee to thrive. The cooler temperatures up high in the mountains allow for the coffee cherries to slowly ripen and develop tons of complexity, and we are loving the vibrant and balanced flavor profile it creates. Bright and sweet Meyer lemon leads into the developed sugars of golden raisin, before evolving into the tartness of red fruit carried by a delicate undertone of black tea. An incredible coffee for anyone who lights coffee on the brighter side.

This coffee comes to us from Best Friends Club member Angel Antonio Rivera. Located in the Las Quebradas section of the beautiful Santa Barbara Mountain in North Western Honduras, Angel’s coffee is processed by another well-known Best Friends Club member Benjamin Paz.

The Angel Antonio is packed with a symphony of sweet fruit, bright flavors, and delicate sweetness. Opening on the senses like the first bite of a ripe nectarine before settling into the tang of tamarind. The finish mellows to a delicate balance of acidity and sweetness reminiscent of a lemon bar. This coffee is a perfect cup for anyone who loves lighter, juicier coffees.

🚨NEW COFFEE ALERT🚨

Straight from Costa Rica’s West Valley comes our first natural process offering of 2023. The remote valley is known for its unique micro-climates, where the specific soil, geography, and weather patterns have resulted in many Cup of Excellence winners. Coffee from the West Valley is typically bright and sweet, with specific flavors coming from the various varieties cultivated there.

Fragrant and sweet like a bouquet of roses, the Finca La Roca draws you in with its aroma. The first sip opens up with juicy blackberries and the tartness of Meyer lemon before settling into the palate with syrupy sweetness and the soft tang of rhubarb. This coffee is perfect for anyone looking to dive into their first naturally processed coffee.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (shenanigans).

As 2022 comes to a close, we’d like to thank each and every one of you for helping make this our best year yet.

We have some exciting new things brewing for 2023 and can’t wait to share them all with you.

A quick reminder that we will be closed from Christmas Day 12/25 - New Year’s Day 1/1 to give our team time to spend with their families and recharge before hitting the New Year running.
