Seminar Alert!

Everyone has to start somewhere. This two-day seminar will introduce attendees to the basic technology and terms of ultrasonic plastic assembly and explain the basics of other thermoplastic assembly methods offered by Dukane.

Topics covered in Introduction to Ultrasonic Plastic Assembly include the theory and practice of different thermoplastic assembly methods, the simple physics of ultrasound, basics of tool design and making, thermoplastic materials and part design, basic process control, and basic troubleshooting.

This hands-on Application Setup and Troubleshooting workshop helps attendees set up and adjust ultrasonic equipment for optimal production on the factory floor. Attendees will receive detailed training on selecting the right amplitude, force, weld settings, and trigger settings, as well as installing tools for ultrasonic welding, staking, and inserting. Attendees will work in teams to set up different machines running various tasks under the supervision of our applications lab staff. The focus is on building the skills to understand and predict how each setting affects the welding process, not just on setting up a specific machine or task.
