Wednesday lunch 11-3. Full menu the whole time.

We’re watching the road construction with bated breath: eventually they’ll be finished with the paving on highway 65 and our Marshall peeps can drive up for lunch again 🫶🏽🤞

Oh, and what’s your fave new snickerdoodle? These are strawberry burst, rainbow, and coconut lime.

We haven’t asked what yall are reading in FOREVER! I’m a chatterer while I’m prepping in the mornings, and our reading lists are always a solid topic. What’s in your tbr stack?

Today, I’m starting Craig Johnson’s newest Walt Longmire novel, The Brothers McKay. My older sister has recommended a series of cute little garden magic books that I can’t wait to start. Emmy and I both really enjoyed Pilgramess by Kara Reynolds; a heroine in her 40’s? Heck yeah. It’s the middle of a trilogy, but they don’t have to be read in order. Oh, and I got Sally’s Baking Addiction’s new cookie book, she inspired the coconut lime snickerdoodles. Hers were shortbread and had the stuff inside instead of coating the exterior.

Anyway, enough about me. Tell us what you’ve read, what you’re reading, or maaaaybe what you’re writing. Drop them in the comments!

By the way, I wasn’t diligent with my social media posts last week. It cost me the push Facebook normally gives me because my views and interactions were down. This actually does seem to directly impact how many people come in at the restaurant, so interacting with my posts helps me out.

Shoulda hyped those longer Sunday hours up a little more last week!

We are open 9-7 (lunch starts at 11 on Sundays for the months of June and July. Come have a relaxing afternoon lunch, an (not really all that) early dinner, or a coffee and dessert with us!

A little note about hours and why we do it this way. I want a 2 day weekend. I have a very small business with limited staff and resources, so basically if the doors are open, I’m working. Summer or Kylie can relieve me for a few hours, but as a general rule I’m going to need to fill one spot or another. The rest of my staff, turns out, also needs or wants to have 2 days off in a row.
We serve lunch on Wednesday and Sunday and lunch and dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. With the extended sunday hours we’re picking up a dinner shift for a couple of months. The point of sale system we have tracks hour by hour sales for the whole time we’ve been using it. This makes sense, numbers-wise.

We hope to see y’all soon!
