Last month, I had a 50th birthday open house and made waaaaaaaaaaaay too many cookies for it. Everyone there knew me, so no one was surprised by this. š
Choosing which pictures to print was a very emotional experience since it felt like time traveling. I was back in the days my stepfather and grandparents were alive, and my kids were little and with me every day. I soaked in every image and story and I chose the 85 best pictures to tell the story of my life.
Now, are they the best pictures of me? Clearly not, by the looks of that one in the bottom left corner from my teen perm days. But each picture made me laugh (again, reference the perm pic), or cry (my grandma sitting with me while I was on bedrest for 17 weeks). They showed good friends and 30 years of adventures with my husband. And they showed funny stories with my children and sister, which made for fun questions and conversations around the table at my party!
Iām grateful for each and every one of these people and memories. And so happy I get to turn them into cookies to give to all my friends!
PS. I can do this for you too for your birthday party! They were both dessert AND decoration. And they were so fun to give away as parting gifts!
