HAPPY BASTILLE DAY! 🇫🇷

If you love restaurants, and you love what we do at Meritage, then you too should be thankful for the French Revolution, and celebrate today. 🎉

The French Revolution genuinely is the origin story of the restaurant. Before 1789 the finest cooking in France happened behind closed doors, in aristocratic households. When the Revolution emptied those houses — masters fled or fell — their chefs were suddenly out of work with nowhere to practice their craft but the public.

So, they opened restaurants.

Fine dining as a thing you can walk into and choose was born from the guillotine. This fall, as part of Maison Meritage we visit and dine at one of those historic restaurants, Vienne's La Pyramide, where that lineage was reborn in the 20th century.

Join us this week at Meritage as well celebrate our continued tour of regional French cuisine.

Eight weeks, eight regions of France — a different region on the table each Friday all summer. The wines, the dishes, the stories, from Bordeaux to Provence.

We heard it’s restaurant week next week, but here at Meritage, it doesn’t have to be restaurant week to get a great deal!

It’s Steak Frites Wednesday! $32 Prix Fixe gets you sliced coulotte steak or steamed mussels, unlimited golden frites, warm bread, and a family-style house salad.

Every Wednesday starting at 5PM. The patio is open and the sun is out. There’s no better reason to make a plan 😉
