To all our guests we call family,
The Frederica House first opened its doors June 6, 1980, and this past Saturday, we closed them for the final time.
It is with humble gratitude and a heavy heart that we say goodbye to all those who have supported us over the last 45 years. We are honored to have been trusted with so many of your Friday night outings, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, proposals, wedding parties, and everything in between. We have been fortunate to serve multiple generations of guests, those whose parents and grandparents brought them and now bring their children and grandchildren. Though we will miss serving you all, we will cherish the memories we made together for years to come.
Last week, we said goodbye to many familiar faces of the Frederica House, old and new. As Tom reminded us, there are literally whole families that have been created after people met at Frederica House! Thanks to all those who stopped by and wished us farewell.
To our staff, especially those who have stuck with us for many years, thank you. You made the Frederica House feel like home for so many people. You helped create a community environment we were so grateful to lead.
Though this is goodbye from us for now, there is no doubt we will see you all around our beautiful St. Simons Island. As we go our separate ways, we can’t wait for what comes next and the new memories we will make along the way.
