On January 31 (tomorrow!), the world will be treated to a perigee blue moon total lunar eclipse. The last time there was a celestial alignment of these three things was in 1982. But this is definitely the first time anyone has called it a super blue blood moon.

In North America, you'll need to be in the west to see the total lunar eclipse, which happens to coincide with a supermoon and a blue moon.

Wow! Just WOW!

You can try to describe what it looks like, but it’s impossible to describe what It FEELS like!

There were gasps, cheers and tears. There was even a marriage proposal!

Thanks to all who helped, supported, and participated! Meagan, Ashlee and Ashlee’s littles were the perfect, always cheerful and helpful team greeting everyone at the door. Bryan, Brandon and Andrew were available to handle any parking challenges. (I understand there were none, but just in case.) Suzen and the crew at the Chemeketa Event Services at Eola ensured a comfortable and tasty experience. Jewelia and Julianne’s music was like the ribbon and bow on an extraordinary morning.

And special thanks to the two hundred and forty people – family, friends and strangers from all over the world – who bonded on an Eola hillside to share what was for most, a once in a lifetime, absolutely unforgettable experience!

There are several sites along the Path of Totality where teams will launch high altitude balloons for your eclipse viewing pleasure. If the Internet doesn't break on that day, we hope to have a couple of different screens displaying their live stream of the eclipse at our event.
