Today when I was pulling basil leaves off stems NoNo smiled and asked if I've ever done work like this before... remembering that we both have 😊

We used to travel and pick fruits, vegetables, whatever paid. We've picked apricots and courgettes in southern France, herb in Cali. I've picked strawberries and grapes in France. Nono's picked pineapples in Australia.

It feels right being surrounded by produce in the summertime. Hot and repetitive work. Cooling off in rivers and camping. Simple hard work. Working so others can eat. Guess we've been doing it for a while now 😏
