The Twist Update:
Thank you for your kindness and understanding as we navigate a new season in our lives. We are planning to bring your favorite pink and polka dotted ice cream stand out of storage and back to life as soon as we can.
Where have we been?
We chose not to open The Twist last summer due to Covid-19 and a personal project we had been working on… building a new home and starting a family. In the midst of a pandemic and our own personal life endeavors, we were afraid our ability to serve our customers in 2021 would be below our standards.
So, Where are we now?
To date, May 2022, we are currently expecting a baby girl due to arrive any day. While The Twist has filled our void of not having children for the past several years, we hope that you can understand our delayed opening this summer. As first time parents we feel that it is best to wait until we can care for our daughter, function without much sleep, and make ice cream cones with a baby on board before reopening. We hope to be up and running as soon as time allows.
Expecting a baby has certainly added a new “twist” to our lives, but we have not forgotten about YOU; our loyal and faithful customers. We love and miss you all and thank you so much for all of the messages, texts, phone calls, questions, and concerns we have gotten about “The Twist” and our personal well being. It makes us so grateful and humble to know that serving ice cream to our local community is so much more than a business; it is a friendship, a smile, a kind word, and a treat for the soul. It is a bond that we cherish and love.
The Twist has not disappeared, it is not lost, or gone for good. It is simply waiting for the right time to make its debut back to its favorite location… a time when we can serve our customers their favorite treats whole heartedly.
Again, we apologize for the delay and look forward to seeing and serving you as soon as we can. 💕
