Base Camp Kitchen Base Camp Kitchen, first stop to your outdoor adventure. Finally I have been able to combine my love of cooking with my love of skiing.

For all the years that I have enjoyed the Cottonwood Canyons there has been a demand for quick quality food on the way up canyon. I focus on quality ingredients to cater to meat lovers and vegetarians. Base Camp will be the first mobile food unit at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon and I'm looking forward to feeding many smiling faces!

Late to the game on this post. Tried something new for St. Patrick’s day. Smoked the corned beef. Pulled the meat apart then stuck it in a crockpot with onions, Guinness, garlic, mustard, worcestershire, malt vinegar, lemon pepper and of course cabbage (probably some other things). After, I wrapped it all in egg rolls with geated swiss cheese and served with homemade Rueben sauce for dipping. Pretty tasty but could use some perfection with texture and presentation. Until next year… ☘️

Well that happened fast. I’d rather be skiing powder. Enjoying a veggie panini and seeing the my little cherry blossom tree I planted last summer blossom for the first time. It’s not all bad. Sourdough brushed with habanero olive oil, avocado, basil, garlic grilled trumpet mushrooms, onions, mixed greens tossed in a homemade vinaigrette, Tillamook pepper jack cheese. Markets will be here before you know it!
