The art in the Fiesta de Reyes plaza is not only bold, it holds great meaning.

The vibrant colors in Mexican paintings are a celebration of life, with deep reds representing vitality, cobalt blue the divine and the ever-present bright yellow symbolizing the sun. ❤️💙💛

Another common theme is women, who have long been intertwined with art in Mexico. From muses to master artists behind the paint brush, they’ve historically been the subjects of paintings and sculptures, as you’ll see in the art throughout the plaza. 🎨

When approaching the Cosmopolitan Hotel from Fiesta de Reyes, a lefthand turn will take you to the free Blacksmith workshop and living history museum! ⚒️🔥

Housed inside the restored Blackhawk Livery Stable building, you can witness the process of forging iron and learn about the subtle art of sculpting it + get hands on with some of their creations! It’s a memorable experience for the whole family.

Summer is around the corner and we’re already feeling it in Old Town! 🌺 The hibiscus are blooming, the warm rays of sunshine are beaming through the palms and kids are wrapping up their school year.
